Usage of ALJ
Alexf's Livejournal Downloader
To download a journal
To download a journal you shuld open " Get LJ " page. First you shoud enter journal name and press " Index " button. Program will load all calendar entries for this journal and will count all links to posts.
Now, press " Get " button. Program will start to download all posts and comments for current journal. After this is 100% completed, program will generate 1 or more "hyperfiles" with all content of the journal. If this file is more than 1 MB, it will be splitted into several files with cross links between them.
Refresh
To refresh a journal that is already downloaded, switch to " Refresh " page. Enter journal name and required type of refresh, which could b one of the following:
- several "latest" entries
- several "most commented" entries
- one or more entried by entry id.
Then click "Refresh" button.
If you already have many journals downloaded. from this page you can find which journal is oldest unrereshed journal.
Search
Switch to " Search " page and click " Index " button. After indexing is completed, you can search throu all journals and comments in English an Russian.
